Our History
Realz Hand of Love was founded in December 2021 by a small team of compassionate individuals led by the director Nancy Ndegwa.
Realz Hand of Love is a registered Community Based Organization that was founded with the vision of transforming lives of street connected persons by doing prevention, rescuing, rehabilitation, reintegration, resocialization and empowerment.
Realz Hand of Love has been operating for the past five years on the streets of Nakuru, conducting outreach programs, mental health talks, medical check-ups, feeding programs, and providing donations such as toiletries, clothes, shoes, blankets, sanitary towels, and diapers. Most importantly, the organization focuses on rescuing boys between the ages of 5 and 15, rehabilitating them and subsequently reintegrating them into society. Realz Hand of Love also ensures their well-being by empowering their families for a better future.
Achievements/Accomplishments
- Fed hundreds of streets people during outreaches
- Sponsored two boys in DJ course in Uprize academy
- Brought over 18 families off the streets
- Sponsored young mothers with job opportunities
- Stimulated the creativity, talents and abilities of street children in the county
- Sponsored 4 young orphan boys in the street who are in need of education
- Tried eradicating poverty through adult education, sensitization, income generation projects to people living in the streets above 18 years
- Sensitization of HIV/AIDS prevention in the street
- Sponsored skill work courses such as hairdressing barbering to the street people above 18 years

Prevention and Response to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV): Implementing programs to prevent SGBV, provide support services for survivors, and advocate for policies that promote gender equality and safety.
Women and Youth Empowerment: Offering skills development, economic opportunities, and leadership training to empower women and youth, enabling them to achieve self-reliance and contribute to their communities.
Community Outreach and Engagement: Building strong community networks through awareness campaigns, partnerships, and inclusive initiatives to foster social cohesion and address local challenges.
School-Based Programs: Engaging schools to promote education, life skills, and awareness on SGBV, mental health, and social inclusion for children and youth, with a focus on vulnerable populations.
Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration of Street-Connected Persons: Providing holistic support to street families through rescue operations, rehabilitation programs, and reintegration into society with sustainable livelihoods.
